Pirate Soccer banquet on 5/16/52005 Honors and Awards Banquet
The Honors and Awards Banquet of the Fairhope High School Pirate Soccer Program officially ended the 2005 season Monday night at the FHS cafeteria. Athletic Director Mark Lasseter greeted the crowd of 300 players, parents and fans with words of commendation and congratulations. Boys Varsity Coach Eddie Strachan acted as Master of Ceremonies and recognized and thanked all of the volunteers who worked in the concession stands, organized the banquet and decorations, and worked behind the scenes to make this year a success. He also acknowledged the sponsors for their financial assistance and other support during the year.
Junior Varsity Coaches Mark Leavins and Tatum Saltz recognized the Girls and Boys Junior Varsity Teams (see photos here). Girls Varsity Coach Timothy Alford and Assistant Coach Spencer Callahan called out the girls varsity and Strachan called out the boys.
Coach Alford presented Anna Hogan with the Academic Athlete of the Year award for the girls varsity program. Coach Strachan presented the boys varsity Academic Athlete of the Year award to Daniel Keyser. Well done!
Varsity captains presented their respective coaches with gifts and said nice things about their teammates and coaches.
