Foley & Mountain Brook on 2/24/6Pirates win two in opening rounds of Buccaneer's Bash Fairhope, AL -- Early Friday night the Pirates rolled over Foley 7-0 led by seniors Matt Tabor and Jordan Sinclair who tallied five goals between them. After an own-goal by the Lions, freshman Kyle Sherrin picked up a score. Assists credited to Drew Dolan, Stanton Lee, Frank Sutley and others to be named later. Later in the evening Fairhope matched up against Mountain Brook. Two first half goals by junior Lee assisted by Sinclair were enough for the win. The Pirate defense led by mid fielder Bryan Keyser turned back the Spartan onslaught time after time. Juniors Stewart Garner and Sam Miller played well in the back and Frank Sutley made timely runs to pin the MB defense back in their defensive third. Seeding for the Elimination Round depends upon the outcome of the unfinished Daphne/Davidson game to be restarted Saturday at 7:30 am. A power problem force the match to be rescheduled for Saturday.
