Pirates Turn Out the Lights

on LAMP with a 6-4 Victory

Bay Minette -- The Fairhope Boys Varsity, dissed and p*ssed by the tie breaking rules, and took it out on LAMP of Montgomery in the 1st consolation game Saturday night. Five players scored in what was actually a 4-0 rout until 25 minutes into the first half when FHS coach Paul Stroud called off his boys. Teammates took turns making each other look good: Ryan Strachan teed up a ball for Jordan Sinclair to drill past the keeper. Sinclair tossed a cross out of the corner for junior Frank Sutley to head near post for a goal. Sophomore Sam Nokovich placed a ball at the feet of Strachan who megged one defender, side stepped the keeper, dodged a sliding defender for more net, and Kyle Sherrin played a ball over the top for Sinclair to run on to giving him a breakaway for his second. Reserves take the field and score two more: sophomore David Allen drove through three defenders for a score (assistance provide by an unknown teammate) and freshman Riley Garvin found fellow frosh Sherrin for a score. Reserves gained valuable experience as they gave up a quad of goals.
