What's the Pirate's Log?

It's a place for opinion. Opinions are like noses. Everybody's got one. Some are long and pointy. Some full of hot air. Some are full of other stuff we'd prefer not to talk about in polite company. I'll tell you my opinion, but feel free to submit yours. If its sufficiently long, pointy or even full of hot air, I'll publish it here. If its full of other stuff, I won't. Be sure and include your name. No anonymous log entries.

Log Entry 3/29/6     My reflections on Nights on the Couch (by Steve Pearson)

In keeping in the spirit of past postings on the Pirate Log I too am guilty of belting out complaints of many of the referee's decisions in the past. While overall I have been much more calm this year, in part so that I don't join Tom on the couch at night, I let my emotions get the better of me last night late in the game when Daphne scored their fourth goal. 

 

Right or wrong, I should have left it up to Jordan, the team captain, to question the assistant referee's failure to call what I thought was an obvious offside. Jordan performed his job and I should have left it at that. I did not. 

 

I apologize for what one "wise, old man" defined as "childish-parental behavior". 

 

Keep your chins up Pirates and let's go get Robertsdale Friday night.  Go Pirates!
